Rob O’Connor is from Dublin, Ireland. Having graduated with a PhD in Physics in 2005, he began playing poker in 2007, quickly moving from the micro-stakes to $1/$2 and $2/$4 No Limit Holdem, which he played semi-professionally for about a year, while working as a scientific researcher during the day.
After getting bored of Holdem he set about learning other poker variants and plays everything from Badugi to Stud. More recently, Rob has dedicated his time to writing about poker, making strategy videos for low stakes players and maintaining his own gambling websites. Rob still plays poker on a frequent basis to keep up to date with the games and study the latest player trends.
