Poker Players Alliance calls seizures “Act of War”

Updated: April 19th, 2011 by Dev Ops

Dramatic news of a US Federal indictment against several poker sites broke last Friday, leading to the withdrawal from the US market of Pokerstars, Full Tilt Poker and several other sites. The future of these sites remains uncertain, and we empathise with those players whose funds may be caught up in this situation.

As a result of these developments, an increasing number of players will have questions and concerns over the impact this may have on their day-to-day poker experience, the security of their funds and transactions, and their poker future in general.

We’d like to reiterate that, as we’ve never accepted US players at our Real Money tables, we do not anticipate any negative impact from these recent developments. Thanks to our current position, our players may continue to play at PKR with complete confidence that we are one of the few operators without any history of exposure to the US market and its present uncertainties. Players should also be aware that their funds are ring-fenced – held in separate accounts – for total protection, meaning you can have complete confidence in the security of your funds and your future with us.

With our unique 3D software and vibrant poker community, we’re eager to embrace the coming months and years as new opportunities arise to make PKR the most popular poker site on the net.

We wish you a happy, secure experience and thank you for your continued support!
